End-to-End Cycling Technology Development.

We are a specialist R&D partner for the global cycling industry. Clients come to us with a challenge: a gap in the market, a safety problem, a performance goal, a technology they can’t source anywhere else, and we engineer the solution from first principles to finished product.

We don’t pick up parts of the problem. We take it all on: the hardware, the electronics, the software, the AI, and the IP that protects what we build. That end-to-end capability (rare in any industry, almost unheard of in cycling) is what makes Skillion the right partner for serious projects.

Every engagement starts with a deep understanding of the problem. Not the brief, the actual underlying challenge. We ask hard questions, challenge assumptions, and define what success looks like before a single component is specified.

AI for Cycling: Primary Focus

We are among the earliest and most experienced teams applying AI to cycling technology. Our work in computer vision, threat detection, and edge-compute AI for bikes goes back to 2018, years ahead of where the industry is today. If your product needs to see, understand, or respond to the world around the rider, this is where we live.

IoT & Connected Cycling

We have built IoT systems for e-bike fleets, security and tracking modules, remote diagnostics, and real-time data platforms. We understand the constraints of deploying connected technology on a moving vehicle, and how to build systems that hold up in the real world.

Drivetrain & Mechanical Systems

Our background includes the development of a proprietary CVT drivetrain for e-bikes, engineered specifically for the demands of electric-assist cycling, with a gear range exceeding 500%. We understand what moves a bike and how to make it move better.

Safety Systems

Safety is the thread running through everything we’ve built. From the first rear camera for a bicycle in 2016 to the AI threat detection in Hawkeye, we’ve been engineering cyclist safety for a decade. That history gives us an insight into rider behaviour, road environments, and alert systems that can’t be bought or shortcut.

We’ve built systems designed for deployment across fleets: security, tracking, management, and data. If your use case involves multiple bikes, multiple riders, or a commercial operating environment, we have directly relevant experience.
